Ho(o)pless but far from hopeless
13 GoodGymers made their way 7.5km to help the Oxford City Council in Oxford.
- Wednesday, 2nd of March 2022

This was a return visit to litter pick the John Radcliffe hospital site, and nearly as cold as the first one!
This time we stuck together, working as a team to clean up the main road from the entrance of the site up to the car parks. We looped around past the A&E entrance, then along to Ronald McDonald House.
We found and cleaned up plenty of grot spots - masks, bottles, cans, coffee cups, snack wrappers, disposable gloves etc. We can now pinpoint all the favourite coffee-and-cigarette break spots along our route! Alerting staff to some sharps in the car park (we hadn't brought our sharps disposal tub this time), we exited the hospital site before frostbite set in and dropped our litter haul off at the agreed collection point.
That was the start of our OxClean spring clean efforts. 6 bags of trash to start our March tally.
Never fear, the litter hoops will be back in the kit bag in time for the next litter pick - promise!
Welcome to GoodGym Henry - nice to meet you!
