Hedge Trimming 101 - Let there be light!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Saturday, 11th of August 2018
Step 1: You'll need one fresh and bright Saturday morning and two equally as fresh and bright Goodgym runners - introducing Steph and Judith.
Step 2: Locate your hedge and the lovely Ms J, who's life was being made gloomy due to an overgorwn hedge blocking all of the light out of her living room.
Step 3. Don your gloves and choose your preferred secateurs. Steph chose to attack the branches edging too close Ms J's window, whilst Judith approached all the branches overspilling at the front, snipping the hedge back in line with Ms J's garden wall.
Step 4: An hour's graft. After an hour and all over trim, the hedge was back under control and at a more manageable height for Ms J. Her arthritis has been progressively getting worse and a simply task which uses to bring her a lot a joy, was causing her dismay.
Step 5: A quick sweep and tidy and load your trimmings into bags for collection, we managed 3 full bags!
Step 6: Say your goodbyes to Ms J and go off to save hedges everywhere!
