Ham with faint praise
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Wednesday, 29th of June 2022
Today I popped to Ms L's during my lunch hour to complete a small shop for her. Her current level of mobility means that she's unable to carry heavier items by herself.
I was pleased to see Ms L looking so well after my last visit to her a few weeks ago, when she looked a little peaky. We exchanged a few bits of news while I clarified a couple of items on the list (as a non-pork eater, I definitely had questions about the variety of sliced ham wanted 😅).
Despite the clarifications, I still spent some time agonising over exactly which packet of ham to get, which I guess is because I'm inde-slice-ive about ham packets (I'll see myself out). Eventually I settled on a wafer thin version that seemed to fit Ms L's requirements, and whose packaging instilled me with the most confidence (it looked medium-fancy 😎👍🏻).
All of the important decisions made for the day, I returned Ms L's shopping and change to her, before trundling back to the office to face some deadlines.

Good pun. New supermarket puns are tough 🤣
Thanks, Anna! I didn't even have to alter the report: I'd already called it medium fancy 😂
Great work, Elizabeth! Hamming up the report :D
Cheers, Suzanne!
