Gust and gains
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Ealing.
- Thursday, 2nd of November 2023
It's a shopping mission on a windy and rainy evening. Mr.G left his main door open for me to enter which made it easy for me to find the house as this was mentioned in the mission description.
Mr.G was the most prepped individual I've done shopping for. He has stapled all the covers of the items that needed to be bought. He asked me to bring them back safely so that he could reuse them for the next shopping mission. I took photos of the covers and Mr.G was surprised at my technical abilities as it was less than a year since he switched to a smartphone, which he is not familiar with yet.
He asked me to take his shopping trolley so that I don't need to worry about breaking my back carrying heavy stuffs.
Shopping needed to be done at two shops, Sainsbury's and Waitrose. After finishing the Sainsbury shopping, I went to the Waitrose nearby. I scanned the whole shop and I couldn't find the 3 items that I needed to get. Just when I was about to call Mr.G to ask for replacement if any, i found the three items right in front of me. It was in the top aisle which I missed to notice initially.
Mr.G was very happy as I got all the items. I then helped him put the items into his fridge. He asked me to shut the door closed when I leave as he was not expecting any more visitors tonight.
