Grey afternoon with a spark
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Saturday, 7th of September 2024
What a grey afternoon that was! I arrived and Ms F was happy to see me returning to her shopping mission. We sat down and she gave me her good and bad news. Ms F almost broke down in tears telling me about her eye injection and she needed to tell someone as she said to let out the fear, I was honoured to be the one. I calmed her down with empathy and a few jokes.
We went through her shopping list and off I went, passed the square with an exhibition of dogs and did the shopping quite fast today as I knew where to pick up her orders, except one which they ran out of stock. With some clever voucher, ms F got a good shopping today.
An extra job, helped her to navigate her Amazon order, off she placed and order for items on her basket and she is looking forward to her new book which is going to cheer her up.
So, who said grey day should remain grey? One can get out to do a good deed to brighten up the space/society.
