Greenway green thumbs
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Newham.

Here's what Mr B of E13 had to say about the mission:
I'm very happy with what they did, they were lovely and did a really good day's work.
Elise and Hilary met up in the unexpected sunshine of Saturday morning, perfectly timed to allow a dash down the Greenway and a parkrun respectively, to lend Mr B a hand in his garden. Mr B's sister had been in touch as the weeds were starting to take over and the lawn was in need of a trim. We were all too happy to help since Elise is a fan of mowing and Hilary's weed identification skills extend as far as being able to spot a big patch of Herb Robert (as google has kindly informed...)
With the help of Mr B’s handy tools that emerged from a secret basement, we worked away mowing and pulling up the well-identified weeds. Mr B encouraged us along with refreshments (mugs of water) and some friendly chat about his house. Before we knew it, ninety minutes had past and we had cleared the back of the garden.
Mr B was very happy the garden re-vamp and waved us off as we headed back down the greenway.
