At the start of a warm and sunny June day we gathered for a new task on Petersham Common. Ken had ordered 2 tons of MOT gravel to refresh the lower section of the path to the stables, where much of the surface had been washed away.
This task was a proper work out, involving the shovelling of the gravel into wheelbarrows, transporting it to the designated area and spreading it out, before flattening it down with a flattener thingy with a smaller base than ideal for the task.
We managed to get through about half of the gravel, covering our section of the path with two layers, and felt pretty pleased with ourselves and the job we’d done.
Since we finished the task, Ken has ordered another two tons of MOT gravel for the Group Run task on Monday - see you there!
