Twelve tremendous GoodGymmers plogged for 4km to help keep our local area tidy.

Meeting at the Phoenix, we were in a celebratory mood as we welcomed back our victorious Big Half runners - Rob, Katie, Sally, Alice, Vicki and Jodie - as well as Saba for her 50th good deed! Sally and Vicki deserve special mention: both afflicted by injury they battled to get through and finish on Sunday. Vicki later discovered she had a broken metatarsal! Give them all a massive cheer!

After a quick warm up we set off with Sally back marking and it was a quick run down to our start point by the back alleys of East Finchley.

We had been kindly lent some grabbers by Stephen's House and Gardens so we shared those out along with bin bags and gloves and got to work.

The team got going grabbing litter and keeping moving along the path, even climbing into hedgerows and competing for particularly hard to reach rubbish. Fiona coined the term grab-off as she and Abi picked through a large hedgerow.

We got through our alleyways including the path beneath the underpass at the edge of East Finchley before heading back along the High Road. We finished up by picking litter around the tube station, almost a safe bet to find some litter, before a quick photos hoot outside...

The weirdest litter award went to Rob for his discovery of half a coconut 🥥

Great work everyone - looking forward to next week already.
