2 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Ealing.

At this morning’s volunteering shift at City Harvest I was working with Ryan. Ryan started volunteering at City Harvest just before lockdown and asked me about GoodGym and what we do so it was great to here he’s joined GoodGym Brent now and done his first couple of missions.
City Harvest is a food donation warehouse that now has two units at Acton Business Park because of the increasing demand for donations.
Today we were helping the team do a deep clean on the main unit, ready for three deliveries coming in and sorted loaves of bread donated by local businesses including polish bakeries and Gail’s. “Loaves” to do and the time flew by! Good to meet one of our newly en-“rolled” members - Ryan has figured us out quickly - realising that both GoodGym Brent and GoodGym Hounslow like a good post group run social. He’s also looking to sign up for missions in neighbouring boroughs.
After a few hours of sorting donations and unpacking crates I got a text from a friend asking if I could donate £50 to the food bank. Morning well spent!
