GoodGym does Changing (bath)Rooms
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.

Picture this.
It's Monday night. EastEnders has just finished. Dad's putting the kettle on. And he better be quick. Come on, come on, COME ON DAD, it's starting! This is live TV, we can't bloody pause the thing! COME ON! IT'S CHANGING ROOMS!
Weren't they the days, eh? Ahhh, the 90s. If only we could go bac...
Stop there. Forget your fantasies. Stop wondering whether Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen really painted those snazzy paintings. Or whether it was gravity or hairspray.
Because today, 3 intrepid good-deeders donned the steely expressions of serious DIYers and brought a little Changing (bath)Rooms spirit to the lovely SE6.
At circa 2pm this afternoon and with the clock already ticking, Red Tomato Steve, Green Pepper Linda, and I (known as Big 'Ground Force' Tommy) turned up at the lovely Ms C's wearing dungarees, baggy tees, and those really small blue-shaded sunglasses. Linda was even carrying a boombox.
Armed with Linda's box of DIY magic (screwdrivers) we climbed the stairs to Ms C's bathroom after a quick high-5 and a natter about last night's Fresh Prince episode (it was dope!). Ms C is having a more accessible bath fitted and our job was to remove the old shower pane so that the Council are able to fit the shiny new kit.
As Steve and Linda got to the task in hand with deft speed and skill, I set about painting a vase of sunflowers. Okay, OKAY! I maybe didn't do that.
They were roses.
After we quickly removed the screen, cleaned off the remnants of glue, and took it downstairs and outside for removal, we had a quick shoot around the garden, blocking up a hole in the fence and taking down Ms C's last bits of dry laundry. And all to an acappella version of C'est La Vie... hey hey heyyy, we'll huff, we'll puff, we'll huffffff...
Shooting off having said our goodbyes to the lovely Ms C, Linda, Steve, and I shot back to 2019 and to Greenwich Park for a little post good-deed coffee. A lovely end to a rather lovely afternoon.
Thanks Linda and Steve!
