Going bananas for bottled water! 🍌
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Thursday, 2nd of September 2021
As is routine for me at the moment, I had another midweek trip to Mrs M's to do her shopping. And lo and behold, she still doesn't have any water! We spent around 20 minutes chatting on the doorstep about how she is struggling to get her carers to pick any up for her, so I promised to bring back as much as I could carry - or more accurately, as much as her shopping trolley could manage without losing a wheel!! As I was only wearing my goodgym shirt today and the weather was a little grey, Mrs M apologised for keeping me stood out in the cold and let me head off to the supermarket. I assured her that northerners like myself don't feel the cold very easily, and that I was more than happy to stay and chat to her.
Amazingly I managed to get all but one item from Tesco today - the only thing missing was a carton of cranberry juice, which I found in Sainsbury's just next door. With the trolley fit to burst, I wheeled everything back over to Mrs M. Thank goodness for the lift, as I wouldn't have wanted to carry 12 litres of water up the stairs with the rest of her shopping!
