Getting To The Root Of The Problem
5 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Redbridge.
- Wednesday, 22nd of July 2020
- Led by Linda Sharman
Four enthusiastic members turned up with an additional guest appearance from Julia who kindly took some work in progress photos before shooting off to her book club.
After congratulations to Jay for completing her 50th good deed she set to with the weeding followed by a personal vendetta against some very stony soil.
Peter valiantly took on an old tree root with his newly sharpened pick axe and James soon joined in on the attack, with associate member Ed also throwing his weight at it. Having successfully dismembered said root it was felt best to leave the remaining stub as it had put up such a good fight against 3 determined and strong fellas it deserved its place in society.
The site is now nicely clear of weeds and ready for planting. Watch this space for the next installment.
Many thanks to all involved for putting in such hard work to improve this little bit of unloved ground.
