Full of Beanies
3 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Sheffield.

On a brisk and bright summer morning, 3 GoodGymers and some other friends gathered near Crookes Valley Park at Beanies to do a Crookes Valley pick!
After a good session of picking around many roads in the Crookesmoor vicinity, we headed to the lake at CVP, picking on the way. When we arrived we emptied our bags into the bins. Swim maestro Andrew gave James a succinct masterclass on the nuances of the frontcrawl stroke (and some cake) before trying it out in the nearby lake (not pond!). It's been about 24 years, so James was a little rusty.
