This weeks group tun took us back to our very first task at Interact to do some garden tidying up.
11 runners met at the Uni and this weeks news about the 10 year birthday of Goodgym was announced and that we plan to celebrate this by volunteering at our local parkrun on 21st September, so get signed before all the volunteer roles get taken up.
We also had David sporting his 100 Goodgym tee, a great achievement, well done.
After a few warm up drills, we headed of to Moulsham Mill in the late setting sun, and with a double caterpillar run down the high street which brought up the average pace a bit.
Susie met us at the Interact building with a nice long list of jobs for us to do, Joel, Rachel, Doug, Julie and Adam tackled the sun flowers grown in pipes buy pulling them out and spreading the soil in the borders.
James and Laurie tacked picking off the raspberries and bagging them up. Catherine and Katherine set to on picking the Tomatoes (it is actually a fruit as we all know!) and bagging them up as well.
David went backwards and forward to the offices carrying over bits and bobs for Susie.
We then weeded the front of the fencing to make that look neat and tidy.
Time for the usual Interact biscuits and drink before we headed off back to the uni. The "fruits of our labour" were bags of tomatoes and raspberries to take hiome with us.
But before we got there it was time for a relay run of 400m, two teams of five were selected and the route was across three bridges that span the convergence of the rivers "Can" and "Chelmer". Well done to the winning team! Doug, Rachel, Julie, Laurie, Joel.
Great task and great running everyone.
