Frozen…. 🥶❄️🧊
4 GoodGymers made their way 4.0km to help their local community in Woking.
- Wednesday, 8th of February 2023
- Led by James McCloud
Despite the freezing cold, Adam, Anne, James and Lauren met for our weekly run. We decided to do a 5 km and chose the David Lloyds route with a twist.
We ran along the Hoe, Adam leading the way and James helping Lauren with her pacing. Then, we carried on up to Kingsfield. This way was better as we avoided busy roads and pavements that had seen better days.
Running helped with the cold weather, but at the end as Anne was keen to hear about the Denbies volunteering saga, we felt the drop in temperature… A quick run to the local pub helped greatly.
On Friday we will be in Camberley to support Millbrook Animal Centre (RSPCA).
Saturday and Sunday mornings are devoted to parkrun and junior parkrun, so if you can take part or help, it will be greatly appreciated.
Next Wednesday we will meet at Brookwood Station where we will paint the plants containers and weed the front garden.
As it will be my birthday, I intend to bring some treats to celebrate (anything to entice you to join us!).
Happy running to you all.
