Flyering without wings
3 GoodGymers made their way to help the Haringey Has Pride in Haringey.
- Saturday, 1st of September 2018
- Led by Julie Fisher
On a sunny Saturday morning, Fay, Toyin and Nurjahan ran to the Chestnut Centre to help them prepare for their Haringey Has Pride fun day. When we arrived, we were met by Ben, the organiser and he asked us to decorate the hall, so some scissors, Funky coloured paper and some 80s classics over the loudspeaker and we were good to go! Once we had made the hall as colourful as possible, we headed out with flyers to get people to come and visit. After a lap of Haringey we were able to entice some families and locals to come and join in with the events. There was crafts, drag face painting and talks and performances going on throughout the day. We even got to relive freshers week and snaffle some freebies from the stalls before we left! We had a great time volunteering and look forward to going to the next Haringey Has Pride event!
