Forget Aladdin & the Genie, it's Jasmine & the GG!
19 GoodGymers made their way 5.6km to help the Heeley Development Trust in Sheffield.
- Monday, 14th of October 2019
- Led by Tom Mutton
On a chilly, drizzly Sheffield evening our GG squad rocked up undeterred by the weather.
We huddled in and tried out our fancy new lighting to get an atmospheric group photo before heading off into the night toward our task for the evening, helping Heeley People's Park.
The park is a big one and being community owned relies largely on very few staff to keep it looking at it's best.
On arrival we received a brief from Bev and quickly split into 2 teams and were set off to tackle the overgrown bushes on Well road that were encroaching onto the pavement and into the road.
We lit up the foliage and cut back the overgrowth, filling barrow and tonne bags until our time was up for the eve.
Bidding farewell until next time we headed over to the U Mix centre for some fitness which this week featured;
- Step up's
- Press up's
- Squat jumps
- Sprints
On arrival back at base, we heard what was upcoming in the next couple of weeks and headed into warmer climes for food and liquid refreshment.
Until next time, happy running!
