For Goodness Shake!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Wednesday, 13th of May 2020
Panting and just about breaking a sweat from tackling a few hills around Honor Oak / Forest Hill, it was finally good to be outside Miss R's place. She arrived at the door and we went through her shopping list together. She gave me £23 towards the shop (£3 for the tip, but I used it for the shop as it was more than £20). She specifically wanted me to shop at Tesco, which was on Perry Vale about 5 minutes away.
The Tesco Express wasn't small nor massive, but they still only allowed four people in at a time. There was a bit of a wait, but I hardly noticed it listening to my tunes!! 🎶
The couple of items on her shopping list were all present, but the shop did come up to £28...cat food is expensive!
I walked back with the items as I didn't realise the 10 items were big. Miss R was grateful for the shop and wondered if I would serve her next time, I told her it would depend on whether I am free and whether I get the mission or not. But, I said all GoodGymers are the same; kind and considerate.
When I got back home, I had a surprise. Waiting inside my flat entrance was my order from 'For Goodness Shake'. Finally, I get to try this recovery shake, who have teamed up with GoodGym! Looking forward to tasting it after a hard earned GoodGym mission run!
