Here's what Ms L of SE14 had to say about the mission:
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
My trusty cycle (Beast) and I pedalled to Feed The Hill (literally on a hill). I parked him outside and folks were taking it in turns watching he stayed put, as I packed bags of weetabix, peppers and biscuits for Ms L. Ms L is not feeling well so we added a couple of oranges and a frozen chorizo stew, I hope she eats pork but we’ve never discussed her food preferences before, so I’ve made a note to ask next time. In 15 minutes I was so welcomed by feed the hill visitors and volunteers - a postman, a car mechanic, a smiling young local lad, a few retirees, and an expat from Vancouver who thought I was brave for cycling. It’s always a Raleigh good cycle on my Raleigh though ;-) Not just biased as they sponsor Goodgym, but this bike is sturdy af and has managed 40 kgs of shopping in panniers most weeks for four years, with my little dog Misko sits in the front basket too - away we go. The bike has been on scores of missions from Brixton to Putney to Brockley.
