2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Haringey.
- Wednesday, 6th of May 2020
This afternoon, two GoodGym runners made their way to help Ms M move furniture so that her daughter can come home from hospital.
Ms M's daughter has been using a reclining bed for years, but is having a new one delivered that will help her rest more safely and comfortably on her return from hospital. This is where Natasha and I came in - we joined Ms M to help move the current bed out front for a collection, so there'll be room for the new one.
We set about unscrewing and detaching all the bits we could, taking things out to the front once they were small enough, and also managed to make friends with the family's pets - a gorgeous dog and two purrfect cats.
After an hour and a bit, we were finished, wished Ms M all the best for her family, and headed off in our different directions.
