Fitness Funk
11 GoodGymers made their way 2.0km to help the Hackney Marsh Adventure Playground in Newham.

When one door closes another opens and with an unfortunate trip to A&E, Angela from Hackney Adventure Playground, created a 1 hour slot of pure fitness for Newham's finest.
Commencing our sesh with the customary warm up and question, "what's your favourite sound?" Pounced on by James (fresh from his Scottish hols), offering a truly idiosyncratic answer, "the sound of peeling an orange", guess that's this week's homework then. To add to that we had "shooting someone in the goggles with a paintball gun" and "the rumble of a coffee machine when it's being operated by someone else" but for your caffeine consumption. Some more melodious tones by the common consensus were: crashing waves, running water, quiet bird song, that crunch of walking through fresh snow and woodlands in the morning. A little something for everyone there, nature lovers, face shooters and fruit skinners.
Our substitute session, a classic progression session, with some core exercises to break it up. You all got the hang of the pacing remarkably well, enjoyed watching those more dynamic and committed final reps. We even had the pleasure of cheering on our very own Rosie C, doing her first 10k in yonks, with the Run Through clan. Looking smooth out there.
Next week it's Cody Dock, sign up here for a lovely run and task.
Make those Parkruns count guys and have a cracking weekend one and all
Till next week
