After our mission yesterday to help Edible York build an orchard, we received a last minute urgent request to see if anybody was free to help shift the rest of the wood chip which was still piled up in the car park. Originally there was 24 cubic metres of the stuff!
We managed to pull a team together and with FIVE GG Yorkies plus a student helper, we cleared the lot, covering the whole orchard in lots of lovely bark.
You lot need some vitamin C - resident who very kindly brought us out satsumas
After a little tea break and a square of lemon drizzle, we even had time to scrape all the pathways, clearing the debris into the compost bin.
The car park was left swept and super neat, nobody would ever even know there had been a pile of wood chip there.
Brilliant work by the GoodGym York crew at short notice!

Hooray! I'm so happy I ignored my tired muscles to come back and help finish it off. It's good to see a task through to the end!
