Everyday I'm shoveling
9 GoodGymers made their way to help the Walpole Park in Ealing.

This week we were back in Walpole, basking in the sunshine and mulching trees again!
This week we had a slightly smaller crowd due to a certain local team having a game in the play off finals at the same time. Spoiler alert - they didn't get through. Leason? Always come to GoodGym instead!
But regardless, the team we did have out were strong and mighty and we worked pretty hard for nearly an hour until one of the beautiful oak trees had a full spread of mulch on her roots!
So why is it good?
Mulching helps soil retain moisture in summer, prevents weeds from growing and protect the roots of tree. This means the beautiful oak trees will be around for years to come, hurray!
Congratulations are in order!
GoodGym is all about getting fit and doing good for sure, but we're also here for friendships and celebrating amazing achievements too and this week we had many reasons to celebrate!
First up a massive congratulations to Emily, the oldest member of GoodGym (not age wise 🤣) but she's been a member since the very start and was at the first ever GoodGym Ealing run 4 years ago. A true original! Tonight she reached 50 good deeds and although I could make a joke about how long it’s taken her to get there, instead I’ll say that every session she comes on she’s full of joy, fun and banter. Consistency is key and we're so excited to have her in the 50 club and can’t wait to see the black t-shirt in action!
Secondly, although he wasn't there, whilst we were out on the task we had a very lovely message come through from Bryan announcing the birth of his new baby boy! A very good excuse to not be in attendance and what a little cutie. Massive congratulations!
And last but not least two birthdays to celebrate. Happy birthday to Jenni and Alex who both have birthdays in the coming week! We took advantage of the eat out to help out scheme and headed for pizza after the task to raise a glass and a slice.
