Could this officially be our longest run? 8.4km of hills and thrills! For those that stayed with us till the bitter end ;)
It was wonderful to be able to finally get to Young Lewisham Project and make a start on the painting. And even more wonderful to have people arriving at the task by running, walking and cycling!
The first job of the evening was to mix the Oklahoma grey paint to reveal the true colour. Well done Julian and Louise for the mixing! It was soon time for pouring the first lot of paint and also nearly losing my phone to the depths of the paint. Imagine...there wouldn't have been an excessive number of group photos of the eve!!
Soon after our friends from GG Bromley arrived and there was soon a rush of GG-ers painting away! What a sight.
Those not painting had the task of masking taping the limits of where everyone was to paint up to and then also tackling mopping up any split paint and putting newspaper under paint trays.
It was soon time to be wrapping up and gathering for a group photo. We lost a couple of a tour of the facilities so we had a couple of fake group photos.
One real group photo later and it was time to say our goodbyes. GG Lewisham turning left and GG Bromley turning right.
We're heading back to Young Lewisham Project soon but first we need to tackle the flyering for Age Exchange next week.
