A compacted battled-hardened squad came together last night, that's in spite of the death defying drizzle. Some noteworthy PB's were touched upon and celebrated pre task, Hilary's 10k and Tim's 10k & 5k. Beautiful work guys.
I reminded everyone about Night of The 10ks, this is the event put on by my club at hamptead heath, imagine 'circus meets world class athletics' - for free. GoodGym help with volunteering there, so you can have a beer and marshall or just come and have a butchers, here's a good video summary
We did a half hour weeding, composting, wheelbarrowing slot at Abbey Gardens, and sliced through an impressive amount of vegetation. The woodchip delivery which was our planned task, never came, so next month presumably there'll still be plenty to do. Great to spend some time in lush surroundings with those fragrant aromas. Good for the head, and also a decent workout in disguise.
Before i sign off, the big GoodGym run from City hall is coming on the 4th June (this is what i forgot to mention on intro!), a few of the guys have done it before, with some beaming reports - highly recommended. Get involved and read more here
Next week we get some furniture moving/bench painting in at the primary school, sign up here
Have a cracking week guys and get after some more PB's.
ps. the title is an artichoke pun*
Till next week
