Easy peasy sofa squeezy
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Wednesday, 31st of July 2019
Some tasks only take a small amount of time but make a big difference. This was an example of one of those tasks! Both Ms S's daughter and neighbour were at the house to meet us. We needed to move a sofa out of the living room and in to the back garden so Ms S could come home in her hospital bed. The living room was round a flight of stairs on the first floor, and the sofa, although light, was not able to be disassembled, so the challenge of the task was to manoeuvre it round the bend without damaging anything. With four pairs of hands on deck, we quickly managed to wiggle and squeeze the sofa down the stairs and into the back garden. In fact, the task was over so quickly we didn't manage to get any photos of the action!
