Early Morning Plogging Time!
4 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Islington.
- Tuesday, 26th of January 2021
- Led by Simon Fitzmaurice
3 enthusiastic Goodgym runners (and 1 under caffeinated Area Activator) met up at the Parliament Hill Viewpoint this morning, surrounded by darkness, snoe and ice. Simon brought a collection of portable litter pickers and bags, and we spent the next 45 minutes collecting litter from the hedgerows surrounding the park.
We were originally worried about not having enough light between us for litter picking- but as we got started, the sun started to rise, and all the local birds (including the exotic tropical birds in the Snowden Aviary) started to sing! Very satisfying work with Goodgym friends- we gathered up 4 big bags of rubbish (and a stack of Evening Standards from last year) which had been missed by the park clean-up team.
