Early bird gets… cigarette butts… 🚬

Ahead of the heatwave I wanted to get a long walk in and water the Hainault in Bloom planters at the station. I got there just before 7am and to my surprise (and a sign of my age) there were quite a lot of young folks coming back from wherever they were and waiting for their ubers and mon&pop taxis whilst visibly very hungover 😂
A few local drunkards were also finishing their night but no trouble from anyone so I spent half an hour picking out lots of cigarette butts, litter, dead heading flowers and giving the ‘in-the-sun’ planters a bit of watering as most were well watered by Bianca already. I’ve tidied up in the station’s men’s toilet because that’s how i roll but also because that’s our water source 😆
On leaving I saw Bianca getting ready for her cleaning shift and thanked her for the fantastic help she’s been providing by watering planters every day - it’s great to have someone at the station who wants to see them look nice. She informed that she’ll be on holidays for the next two weeks so I’ll be setting up more community missions as there seem to be no sign of any rain for weeks:(
Felt good to start the day with a good deed in my community!
