Early bed and early rise...
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lambeth.

... has left us healthier, but I'm not sure about wise?
John and I met early on a Friday morning, ready to tackle a bed move before going to our everyday jobs.
Upon arriving at Mr W's, we were surprised to be greeted by his carers (we were expecting his OT) who were equally surprised to see us (they were unaware that we were coming)! Introductions made and visit purpose explained, we went up to Mr W's bedroom, fully prepared to move his bed into the spare room. Except there was already a second bed in the spare room! After some discussion with Mr W, it was decided to bin the second bed in the spare room but keep the mattress, and bin the mattress in Mr W's room but keep the bed (as it was a rising bed).
With much twisting and turning, John and I managed to carry the correct bed/mattress combo to the rubbish area outside the house, and move the remaining bed/mattress combo into the spare room. In the process, we met Mr W’s nurse (who came for the daily treatment), his hairdresser (Mr W was in need of a haircut) and his physiotherapist (for his exercises)! Talk about a full house!
Job finally done, we left Mr W to his busy schedule and both went on our merry ways!

Well done both - we've been in touch with the hospital time who apologised for not making it along, and it sounds like everyone's chuffed with the end result!
