Wow, another great turnout last night Goodgymers. Nothing is better than running out with a great group of runners all chatting about their weekends and all heading out to do an awesome good deed for their local community. This week we headed down to Blackfen to help our great friends at the Greenwich & Bexley Hospice Shop with a big clean up. It was all hands on deck as we got into teams of pairs and got to work clearing stock, then washing and dusting down all the shelves, then putting everything back and displayed for sale. Finishing our task 'dustin time' we were ready to head back to base camp Crooklog. However on the way up i had spotted a lovely set of steps that needed to be utilized and this we did. Tonights fitness drill was:- everyone adopts the sitting position up against the wall. Then one at a time we run the steps then return to the sitting position against the wall. Ouch! Yes. But so much fun.........
However on the way up i had spotted a lovely set of steps that needed to be utilized and this we did.
After a brilliant evening of running, fitness and volunteering we were back at Crooklog chatting about our evening and what we are up to next week. Great job team, we smashed that task and run! Before i sign off i want to welcome Alexto the gang, you were fab, well done. It was great to see Gareth again, awesome beard fella. Also a quick shout out to Susan who is now training to become a run leader for Bexley Goodgym. Awesome stuff Susan. Next week we are heading out to a brand new task in Welling. Its going to be a good one so make sure you sign up. See you all next week.
