Dropping Some Shopping in Wapping
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Tower Hamlets.
- Sunday, 6th of September 2020
One of the joys of the red GoodGym t-shirts when out and about, at a parkrun or a race is the occasional (or sometimes more frequent) recognition from fellow GoodGymmers and the ensuing supportive shout out. It always gives you a boost and I reckon it must have been the red that gave me away as I pottered down Limehouse Cut this morning and heard someone calling out my name. Took a little while to work out where it was coming from, but turned out to be none other than Tower Hamlets hero Tracey from the comfort of her balcony, enjoying a relaxing breakfast. Nice to exchange our morning running plans over the canal, looks like the timetrial went well!
Onwards down to Wapping where I was able to get everything Mrs D needed from the shop right under her block of flats. She'd been running low after a missed food parcel and was very grateful for some staples to tide her over. Then back home via the south of the river, taking in some of the sights on a sunny morning run.
