Door’s opened!

It’s the 139th Charlton park run, 195 runners, walkers including children and dogs were having fun at the Bank Holiday weekend.

Martin was in charge of barcode scanning. I was the first timers welcome person and also guide running with Imran who was using today’s park run as a warm up of a 5k local race tomorrow. Charlton park is really accessible to all.

Many new runners were from the local area. We had also attracted some visitors from Essex, Herefordshire and Sweden! Three brand new people took part in their first ever park run. A bit of warning: park run can be quite addictive but it will also change your life!
