Fantastic to welcome back long time founding member and Coach run extraordinaire @Sam Needham to last nights run. Great to catch up and have you along for a group run again.
6 brave GGers set off into the drizzle to run and meet with litter picking organising stalwarts Karen & Malcolm over in Pitsmoor to help with their ongoing effort of battling back the litter in the area.
Other volunteers with the Pitsmoor Pickers were out helping too. In total there were 11 of us who managed to collect a lot of rubbish, even separating cans out to be recycled.
Yes we can!
Some of the runners hit the JACKPOT with a find of some big used firework containers. Drains were unclogged of litter to prevent future flooding issues and many a baby wipe saved from entering into the water system.
A number of passer by's thanked us for our help which always makes us feel happy and appreciated.
Until next time, happy running! :)
