10 runners met at Roll For The Soul last Saturday for what was an unusual run for GoodGym - it was just a run!
Our task had fallen through at the last moment, but there was no reason not to go running, so we met up at Roll for the Soul and then headed out for a 3 mile (5km) run around the docks.
It was perfect running weather - there was a bit of a breeze, it was warm but not scorchio, and we chuntered around the harbourside area in good time.
Once we got to Queens Square, we had a mini circuits session - 9 runners (excluding Pru who lead the run) so 9 stations - press ups, bicycle crunches, walking lunges, skipping, inverse press ups, lateral shuffle, tricep dips, lamppost row and jump squats! Lots of great ways to get those running muscles a lot stronger.
Everyone blasted away at the circuits - the skipping seemed especially popular! Then, because it was as lovely day and the gang had worked their socks off, we took longer than usual to stretch out - pressing the reset button on our bodies. Chilled and relaxed, we ambled the short walk back to Roll for the Soul.
Thanks for coming guys, despite there being no task! Well done!
