Do Good, Get (out)Fit(s)
3 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Lewisham.

Some people use astrology or meteorology to predict the changing of the seasons - here at GoodGym Lewisham we use the restocking schedule of TRAID!
TRAID accept donations of unwanted clothing, diverting some 3,000 tonnes of clothes from landfill and waste each year. This Wednesday marked the day when every single garment on display and sale in their Lewisham branch needed to be removed from their hangers and both to be separately (and neatly) boxed up.
Enter 3 intrepid GoodGymers, armed with a clear sense of purpose (if a more questionable sense of fashion!). We set about clearing hanging clothes off their display rails, quickly honing our technique for efficiency, before carrying them by the armful to deposit within some VERY big cardboard boxes. The hangers were then sorted by type and placed neatly in their own boxes.
Did we take the time to view and critique some of the items being boxed? Guilty!
Did we ever think about climbing into the BIG clothes boxes... maybe just me on that one!! :o)
Alongside other volunteers, and with some smooth French dance beats as our soundtrack, it took us only around an hour to have 2 clothes boxes stuffed full and safely taped up, with the shop now looking VERY empty indeed.
Good to see you again, TRAID, and we'll return when the seasons next rotate!
