We helped prepare the ground at Holgate Community garden for St Paul's School to plant bulbs later in the week. We dug 7 circles of turf out, as well as weeding and trimming around the notice board and the baby oak tree. The initial puzzle was how to create perfect circles but with the help of compost lids as guides we got pretty close, particularly on the grass area. We sythed and sheared some of the area around where the bulbs were going and the neighbouring bank leading Leanne to comment, "My sything is going downhill!" With so many hands on deck we finished the job in an hour.
