3 all smiles GoodGymers ran 5.5k to help Open Age charity by delivering 250 leaflets to promote a highly subsidised yoga class for the over 50’s.
With wind and rain dominating the afternoon we couldn’t have wished for more perfect conditions to run in!
Heading down to Pimlico to get as close to the Leisure centre where the Yoga classes were taking place as possible.
We set up deliver as many leaflets into the local council Estate as possible, weaving our way around to all the flats we could get to as well as the local businesses that boarded the estate and were just a couple of minutes from the centre.
Open Age provide social and physical activities for the over 50’s and this highly subsidised Yoga class for just £1 per session is a great way for Westminster’s residents to combat inactivity and isolation.
Weaving our way all around the estate we managed to deliver loads of leaflets which will hopefully get Westminster happy connected, mobile and strong!!
Running back to an maxing home baked cookie from Tom made for a very tasty end to the evening!
Happy running
Joel
