10 terrific runners ran 3km to help out at More 2 Childcare centre in Greenwich!

First off, I would just like to say a huge well done to Mridula who has recently completed 100 good deeds!!!!!! All in the space of a year, which is incredible! And also a massive congrats to Gareth who did his 50th good deed a few weeks ago. Well done you two! Keep up the amazing work!!!

So it was a pretty miserable looking evening, it had rained all day which was sure to put a few people off but still we were 10 strong... which for this time of year is AMAZING! I think last year at this stage we had about 4 people?! A 150% increase... got to be happy with that!

We welcomed Ipswich GoodGym runner Jonathan to the gang and went round the circle talking about what gifts we had given people, in the hope that it might drum up some inspiration for the late shoppers! I'll let you know how my sister gets on with her knobs! ;)

Of we went for a little warm up and then we got going for our run to More 2 Childcare.

After a few minutes, we'd arrived! It took a little while for Eve to emerge but we eventually got let in and there were lots of jobs for us... hooray! And more importantly, we were INSIDE! A sigh of relief from all involved I think!

Out of all the jobs, there was a door that needed painting, some kids chairs needed washing, a big shelving unit needed re-organising and the windows needed a good clean! Andy and Lee were on paint duty, Alex and Jonathan took to the windows, Chan cleaned the chairs and Pulin & Claire sorted out the shelves! Oh and how could I forget, there was also a display board which needed putting up on the wall involving some power tools and who better for the job than team Garidula!

Everyone was straight to work with maximum enthusiasm! Time was a-ticking but things were going well!! Thirty minutes later we had some sparkling windows, a nice new blue door, a solid and sturdy display board, chairs clean enough to eat your Christmas dinner off and shelves that were organised to a T!

12 days of Christmas!

It was 12 days until Christmas yesterday which I always thought was the 12 days of Christmas, but I've just googled it and apparently it STARTS on Christmas and runs up until 5th Jan... you learn something new every day! Anyway, this festive inspired workout included: 12 burpees, 11 star jumps, 10 lunges, 9 jump squats, 8 sit ups, 7 plank jacks, 60 seconds of high knees, 5 press ups, 4 squat kicks, 3x 20 seconds of mountain climbers, 2 laps of the square and a 1 minute wall sit!!!! Think yourselves lucky because last year I did something similar but in the same format as the song twelve days of Christmas so it started with 1, and then it went 2, 1 and then 3, 2, 1 and so on all the way up to 12... I think it took about half an hour... I think everyone was happy to not see me again for 2 weeks!

Anyway you all did GREAT!!!! And definitely earnt those Christmas chocs! Thanks Pulin for bringing a stash in!

Last chance run!

As I mentioned, I am running a starter session aimed for people running The Big Half in March, but everyone of course is welcome! It is the same format as the usual group runs but the run in slightly shorter and it is on Saturday in the day time... hooray for daylight!! If you would like to join us, there is more info here but please note the starting location is different to usual!!!

Happy Holidays!!!!!!!

And finally just to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I will look forward to seeing you all in 2018!!! Lots of love xxxx
