Cutting back a berry big tree
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Sunday, 18th of November 2018
Here's what Ms E of SW18 had to say about the mission:
Ms E called in saying how 'wonderful a job' the runners did. They made a massive difference, worked so hard and the garden looks so much better! Referred to the runners as 'angels,' and was so appreciative. Job well done!
Steph, Adam and Pippa met on a sunny November Sunday to give Mrs E's lovely garden a general tidy up. She's recently had an operation so is unable to do any gardening herself, but really enjoys spending time there.
The most important task on the agenda was to chop back a huge berry tree which was growing out of control and into the next door's garden. Adam grabbed a saw and speedily cut it down, then bagged up the branches. He then took some shears and trimmed the bushes at the back of the garden. Meanwhile, Steph and Pippa were weeding the patio and flowerbeds.
Mrs E was very pleased with the results and kindly offered us some pink lilys from the garden to take home.
