26 runners headed to the Bristol Scrapstore on Tuesday for another session of sorting, slicing, cutting and dicing.
It was a surprisingly cold night when we met at the Folk House so everyone was keen to start running. We headed down to the Bear Pit (no bears included) and regrouped, then carried on to the Scrapstore after a few delays due to a lot of cars clogging up Bristols roads.
By now most of GoodGym are old pros at sorting scrap, and it was the usual mix of un-boxing and decabling phones, slicing the end of thread from bobbins, cutting netting and thick red and green rope in to useful lengths, and chopping a massive roll of paper in to smaller bits. Even though we do similar tasks every time, every time we head to the Scrapstore, we do something a bit different or find some quirky bit of scrap. This week we seemed to have finally come to the end of the massive pile of water damaged portable phones that we've been tackling every time we head there, although I suspect there's more somewhere else, lurking and waiting to be un-boxed.
In our run back, we gradually settled in to two groups but again got the groups back together in the Bear Pit (still no bears) and ended back up at the Folk House almost together.
Another lovely run for Bristol Goodgym, thanks everyone for coming to the run! There's loads of photo to show the joy of scrap!
