Cuckoo for a chocho
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Hammersmith and Fulham.

I made this a walking mission just for variety's sake, and wandered from Acton to the lovely and bustling Shepherd's Bush. A chipper Ms N greeted me at her door and talked me through her recipe list. She wanted to make a wholesome, multi-day soup, with ingredients that would take me far beyond the realms of your Tescos and your Sainsburys. I took the list and set out to hunt down a neck of lamb, one chocho (yeah, Google it), some cock flavoured soup mix (don't Google it), one white yam, a Scotch bonnet, a plantain, sweet potato, onion, thyme and black pepper. I shop-hopped like a mad lady, running out of cash fast and ending up not buying the main attraction on the list: a 6-pack of juicy Coca Cola. Ending back at Ms N's who appeared visibly impressed at my chocho-hunting skills, but also a little heartbroken at the coke-free loot, I offered to pop into the Tesco 5 seconds from her house with some extra coin, and snap up that 6-pack, just as a little one-time bonus. We had a lovely chat after, I got an orange lollipop for my efforts and am now sitting here imagining that pot of deliciousness simmering on the stove.

Wow. What a shopping list. Well done Marieke for going the extra mile to get everything you could for Ms N.
