We had five to flyer this evening for a new organisation to Bromley, Get Rid Of And Donate aka GROAD. They encourage people to clear out their old unused stuff - furniture, clothes, houseware, toys, etc. - and donate it to GROAD who then redistribute it to people who need it. They have various projects which support homeless people, refugees and local families in need so it’s really an amazing charity, reducing waste and reusing stuff!
Angela met us at the Bridge House to give us some flyers - 250 I believe and we had certain roads to target.
Before we set off we discussed our favourite fast food chains, before accidentally being offered someone else’s chips by the waiter. Unfortunately we had a job to do!
We had a quick warm up, got blocked in our route round CP park (floodlights falling down…) and then retraced our steps to get in a few extra hundred metres!
Our flyering area was a bit of a maze but in the end we found 250 letterboxes to post the flyers, and even managed some extra roads from what Andrea suggested. Great work gang!
Everyone was super keen for an extra km so instead of heading straight back, we took a different route and stopped off briefly for wallsits and tricep dips!
Speaking of dips, Stephen said he was looking forward to his post-GG (and post half of Guinness…) bowl of porridge. He goes for a topping of dried fruit. Alex said he’d go for a topping of pizza and chuck the porridge. 😅
Pizza cake!
Ace work guys - that was some high flyering action!
