Another handful of runners took to the streets of Newham this week. As we gathered in the reception of the Aquatics centre with the sun bursting in we welcomed experienced volunteer John into our circle of red.

As we set off from the park conversation moved on to various run challenges the group had taken part in from Tough Mudder to Pain and Suffering. The clues are in the titles, we're a bunch of hard nuts really; you hear that Newham...?

We love to get stuck in.

So, chatting away we ran 3k into the depths of Forest Gate, where dirty tables and chairs awaited us at the community centre. Our simple task - to clean as many as possible. We weren't as lucky this time round to have the Swing Patrol dance troupe entertaining us in the background. But it's ok....we had each other. This was a bit of light work, but be ready for next week's session where we'll need all hands on deck to take on several tasks in the PSG garden.

Back to Durning Hall, and it was time to battle through the return journey with some interval runs. Going hard for the first 1.5k on and off and then cruising the last 1.5k back into the park. Not forgetting the infamous leg finishing ROCKY steps...

insert fist pumps, and on the spot jumping

Job well done as always, continue to spread the word and I'll see you all next week

Kirsty
