A minor GG Hounslow rain-based miracle happened last night, as despite worrying forecasts, flooded roads and some very threatening clouds we all stayed dry throughout both the run and the task. What a result!
We kicked off the evening at the Town Hall before running over to Strand on the Green school to be faced with our huge task for the night - shoveling wood chip into the forest school to create a learning area and paths for the kids.
We quickly divided up into teams with Matt and Jon ferrying the chips in barrows, Eloise and Michelle taking on shoveling duties, while Emily and Pippa raked the chips over the paths. Such teamwork!
After a very smooth operation and a hat trick from the Leicester away team, it was time to call it a night and head for the warm safety of the pub and homes.
This Saturday we have a mission happening with Cultivate London, sign up here to help shift hazardous leaves and other jobs. Next week we're back to Cultivate London so there's lots to be looking forward to!
