Chilly chilled chillout - we took it easy
5 GoodGymers made their way to help the Wanstead Climate Action in Redbridge.

A very chilly evening on our hands tonight! The task tonight was to help weed and prep the area by the wall just opposite wanstead house for trees and bulb planting to make this neglected area into a fantastic display of greenery and useful habitat next spring, a project that Wanstead Climate Action are taking a lead on!
We started with a little jog around the George Green and then we worked on weeding, digging and more weeding interspersed with 'high energy warm-ups', which included interval running, squats, lunges, jumping jacks and more jogging!
Once we finished everything up, Jenny, James and John (The J-crew) went for a festive drink whilst Julia and Linda boringly went home for an early night:)
Great wintery evening!

I was thinking of cancelling as I was pretty tired before going. I know I moan but thanks for making me get me out there and do stuff.
It’s always so tough to motivate yourself on Monday evening when it’s so cold and dark but a bit of exercise and do-gooding always feels good afterwards:) you did great 👍
