6 Westminster GoodGymers ran 5k to try and fail to help the Oasis Green Community Garden as the centre was closed due a chemical leak.
A lovely calm and hopefully informative GG Westminster this evening! But probably mainly about the inner workings of a Swimming Pool plant room than community gardening!!
After a surprisingly quite route around Westminster’s very central back streets we arrived at the Oasis leisure centre which is also home to the Green Community Garden only to be met by a sea of fire engines and ambulances!! With a squad of firefighters dressed in full PPE for a chemical leak!!! No chance of getting through the tapped off pavement and definitely not fancying Chlorine gas so we headed off to Bedford Square to have a little chat about how a pool plant room works and dominate a strength inducing body weight circuit!!
Heading back to base with our balance skills at Ninja levels, our core and lower body as hard as nails!! We even had time for a little running injury/ technique workshop to keep us running strong all summer long!
See you next time
