Charlie’s Angels go bananas
1 GoodGymer made their way to help their local community in Ealing.

Today was my first and hopefully not last volunteer shift at City Harvest, helping to sort food that’s been donated to go back out to organisations like food banks, hostels, drop-in centres etc.
Today I sorted fruit and unbagged about a zillion bananas (remind me why they’re wrapped in plastic again?). The high point was when two pallets of Yakult were delivered and four volunteers descended on it to make short work of making it ready to go back out.
Shout out to Anita from GG Richmond who showed me the ropes and made sure I went home with a snack from the volunteer station, as well as taking some epic photos featuring some of the many bananas.
