Chair-ity begins at home.
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Westminster.

Am enjoying doing evening missions in the heart of London at the moment as it gives a good excuse to see the lights and feel a little bit festive - so Mr R's location near Fortnum and Mason in Piccadilly this evening was a definite win. He had unfortunately broken his hip in a fall, and so his partner (Ms D) had arranged for a specific high backed chair to be delivered that would then allow him to be released home and (hopefully) be able to sit properly whilst his hip recovers.
As with all flat pack challenges, there is always an element of mystery is in seeing what pieces are in the box and trying to magic them into the picture on the instructions, without having any pieces leftover...this one took a while only because there seemed an excess of curved washers, but eventually all found their rightful place, and with the cushions installed both Ms D and I gave the new chair a test drive - it was certainly "supportive", but hopefully just what Mr R needs for his recovery.
