Cashing in the chips.
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Friday, 31st of July 2020
Back to Brunswick Centre for last shop of the day for Ms F who had her list, shopping bags, loyalty cards and cash ready and walked me carefully through each of the items - helpfully she even included some empty packets as visual reminders for a couple of the items.
The world's politest supermarket was pretty quiet this Friday afternoon, the air-conditioning a welcome relief from the heat, and I worked my way through her list, familiar now with the aisles and products. Ms F had asked that if possible I divert via Tesco to then pick up some McCain frozen fries - easily done.
Ms F inspected the goods at her front door and was pleased that I'd managed to get everything - when I mentioned the chips had exceeded the money she'd given me, but that I was fine to cover the little extra, she would hear nothing of it and disappeared to return with some change to ensure we were financially all square at end of business on a Friday afternoon.
