Tonight was the first GoodGym of the new year and it was great to have three first timers. A warm welcome to Ryan, Sha and Tousif.
We set off on our way to the canal with John the walk leader, Balal the front marker and Liam the back. On canal arrival we split into three groups, each litter picking a different part of the canal. Will’s group even found a pan! Hence this weeks pun, thought up by the good man himself. Once litter was collected we headed to Aston Lock to drop the bags off, there was time for a quick picture, then we headed to Millennium Point for the time-trial.
We had a few first time timers tonight. At least they were guaranteed a pb! Everyone worked well pulling each other along. Balal and Liam were virtually neck and neck all the way, Ben put in a sterling effort in his first time-trial. Liz was another one having a go at the session for the first time in a while and put in a strong performance. Ryan and Tousif but in a great showing and commented how running with people pulled them along. Cesca was another time-trial newbie finishing with a fantastic sub 9 minute clocking. Anyway see if you can spot yourselves on the pictures, I may have missed a few, just blame it on Running too fast ;-)
Once done we all headed for the uphill slog back to 1000 Trades and that was the first GG Brum of 2020 done!
Next week we will be out doing good again, it would be great if you could join us sign up here.
